Welcome Coach Sylvia, Physical Therapist

Qi Creative welcomes Sylvia Cao, Physical Therapist and Coach, to the team!

Coach Sylvia graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Her passion in children’s wellness and physical activity was sparked by coaching young aspiring athletes for 9 years.

After volunteering in university at fitness and PT programs with kids with special needs, Sylvia knew she had found her calling.

Outside of being a PT, she is constantly finding ways to learn something new, whether it is singing, painting, or identifying stars in the night sky.

Sylvia also loves to find fun ways to stay active, such as through biking, rock climbing, and frisbee golf.

My first month has been full of learning, joining other coaches on their visits, and discovering how much care Qi Creative puts into our work. I've felt valued and supported as I learn the ropes.

From virtual coach meetings to in-person visits, every environment I've seen and experienced has been filled with encouragement and sharing of ideas.

Our visits certainly look different than I would have seen a year ago, but after all, what can be more certain than change?

I've already met so many inviting families who have welcomed me to join their journey.

Despite having only seen a snapshot of what's been happening over the year, each visit has celebrated “wins” that families have worked hard with coaches to achieve.

It's been a privilege to be a part of this process and to collaborate with the wonderful coaches and families who have made it possible. This team embodies acceptance, collaboration, and safety.

I'm so excited to be a part of it!

WOOSH!
