Welcome Coach Ashley, Occupational Therapist
Qi Creative is excited to welcome Ashley Arguin, Occupational Therapist and the newest member of our team!
About Ashley
Originally from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Ashley moved to Edmonton after completing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan. Initially “only moving here to complete her masters”, she now calls Alberta her permanent home!
Ashley’s passion for helping children and families achieve their goals and maximize their ability to meaningfully engage and participate in life lead her to the profession of Occupational Therapy.
She is most passionate about supporting children with emotional and sensory regulation and helping establish meaningful connections.
When Ashley is not working, she can most often be found at home with her dog, visiting family and friends across Alberta and Saskatchewan, attempting to golf, or trying to find the number one poutine. She loves reading, camping, and making attempts at DIY projects.
Words from Ashley
Wow - I can’t believe it has already been a month since starting my Qi Creative adventure! I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun!
The first four weeks have been a bit of a blur! Unfortunately (thanks to Covid), I haven’t been able to meet the whole team just yet, but I have been lucky enough to meet a handful of other awesome coaches.
Everybody has been so welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. I feel so grateful to be in a position that aligns perfectly with my personal beliefs and approaches to supporting families.
The biggest challenge I have faced so far was shifting my schedule from in-person to online as soon as I was about to meet people; however, it was nice to feel so supported even when I was at home. I greatly appreciated the coaches who called and reached out in other ways to welcome me, invite me on future visits, and check-in on how I was feeling. I can already tell the support system at Qi is something super unique!
Once I was free from isolation, it was such a nice feeling to finally get out, meet so many incredible people, and get the first few successful visits under my belt! I have also been enjoying car-pooling out to family homes with other coaches because its the perfect opportunity to collaborate, but also build friendships.
I am looking forward to continuing to grow as part of the Qi Creative team!
